Hello all, I've been building some Standalones to try to protect some coding, however I noticed that a collective is automatically built with a standalone.

I tried deleting the collective - but the standalone doesnt work then - I get an error in the max window saying "comment: no such object". However with the collective in place it works fine.

As you have observed, if you delete the Collective contained in a Standalone, the Standalone will not work.

It is also pesky that automobiles carry tanks of gasoline around with them. And a great heavy battery. Have you ever tried to see how far you can go after removing either from your car?

If you look around the forum, you will find confirmation of the fact that Standalones do not offer much in the way of protection for your patches.
