I've been asked whether some objects I've built for Max to support the Eigenharp controllers can be used with Max4Live but unfortunately I do not know what limitations (if any) exist in that environment. Do the UDP objects work so that I can use the CNMAT library?

Also, will externals built with the standard Max SDK work or does one have to use a different SDK (presumably there's some extra support for Ableton, etc)?

OSC in M4L has no specific limitations but the timing may be less accurate (more latency).

I've used it with [oscbonjour] to trig some video from Live, with a player made with max using runtime on a distant laptop and the timing seemed far from accurate. Though this might be caused by the laptop which played the movies...

Latency would definitely be a problem with the Eigenharp as it produces a LOT of data.

I use the delay compensation features of Ableton Live tracks on any with udpsend/OSC devices to compensate for latency. Works great.

Is the latency 'constant' so you can use ADC ?

I don't understand how latency compensation would work when you are recording (and monitoring) an OSC input

Does Max4Live support OSC?
