unfortunately no object ever will be able to report “finished loading file”.
 
but commands like “plug fancyeffect, open” will work in most situations.
 
one could also try to bang or question an object like vst~every 100 ms until
it reports something. this would be a ways to know when a plug-in has
finsihed loading.
