hi,

i just upgraded to the latest version of max after an upgrade to tiger.
now, the . object is not recognized as "." i have to type in "dot", but this breaks al my patches.
i can’t make an abstraction named .pat or ..pat or ..pat as this conflicts with unix.
it’s also very difficult to track down every bang.
any ideas?

thank you,

isjtar

ps forum is behaving very erroneous today

Do you have the ‘jasch-objectmappings.txt’ file your new Cyclin ’74 folder?

have you copyied the "jasch-objectmappings.txt" file into the init
folder as it says in the read-me?
this is how max knows to make a "." object when you’re really loading
a dot.mxo external.
