i’ve noticed that on my Windows 7 system Max 6.0 icon is not registered in max related files. And i can’t open any max related file directly. I have to open Max 6 than load the files with the relevant file menus.
I’ve got installed both max 5 and Max 6 and any max files got the Max5 icon.
Now i’ve un-installed Max 5 now and all the max related files have just a blank icon. And i’ve try to choose the Max 6 application to load the files. But nothing. Opening directly the files just does not work. May be some incomplete stuff at the regisrty level with Max 6 on Windows 7 ?
eheh…c’mon…gimme the fancy multicolored circle icon for my max files ;)

Now everything seems to work fine. The files open and i have the Max 6 icon on files.
But this proves that the Max 6 installer seems does not treat registry reference if Max 5 is already isntalled ( i don’t know the case of installing Max 6 without having Max 5 installed ).
