Drag and Drop directory in max

July 1, 2008 | 7:50 pm

Hey Guys

Hope you’re all well and having a good week.
Right, in max/msp I have two questions which are probably easy for you guys, but not for me sadly!

First of all how do I drag a folder onto max and have it’s directory listings come up with all the files in that folder. It’s so I can load into a buffer.

Secondly, how would I use 1 directory listing to load 3 buffers.

Cheers
Mark

Cheers for that.

I used a patch that has Javascript in it. That is much simpler that learning Javascript. I know bits of Javascript, but it didn’t work too well.

Thats brilliant, but there is also something I want to know. I really want to use bits of granular synthesis. I have been looking through the Granular synthesis patch.

What I want to do is crossfade between the different samples within the folder so that it crossfades depending on the value. I definatley liked your patch though – simple.

Cheers
Mark
