hey community
i noticed that in max6 the user has to click and hold the mouse while creating a patch chord connection btwn objects. is there a way to turn this off so that creating a patch chord is one click, and connecting to another object is another click?

Dragging is the normal Max way, but if you turn on Segmented Patch Cords in the Options menu you get the behavior you want.

…if you hold Shift after you start to drag, you can connect to multiple inlets without re-grabbing. but maybe that’s old news :)
