DSP window in a Max 5 standalone bug?

I’m working on a standalone app in Max 5. things are going fairly well, although I’m running into a few weird issues.

I want a little button that will make the DSP status window pop up, in order to select audio drivers and so on. Easy enough, right?

Except for some reason when I do that in my patch and make a standalone out of it the DSP window looks funny. It’s missing some text and just says “(textbutton)” where some items should be. I’ll attach a screenshot.

Am I missing something silly? do I need to include some files in with my standalone?

this is with Max 5.0.2 on a Macbook OS 10.5.3.

Any help would be great, thanks.

Sounds like the collective builder is not recognizing that you need the textbutton object, and so is not automatically including it in the collective (your standalone is, at its heart, a collective with a Max Runtime added to the stew).

Manually include the textbutton object as part of your collective/standalone.

A ha! That’s it, your fix seems to have worked. Thanks a lot for the help!

The only other thing I had to do was also include the ezdac~ object, which was also missing. Very strange, but thanks so much for the suggestion.
