Dumping multislider lists

November 21, 2008 | 3:17 am

Sorry, for this rather simple question, I havent used max for about 3.5 years.

I am building an additive synthesizer and want to use the multislider object to control my oscillator amplitudes. What I thought I could do was just connect the multislider list output to an unpack object input and have 16 outs and send each of these values to each oscillator.

Please advise.

My apologies I am an imbecile. Floating-point, integer conflict.

The problem I have now is that when dragging a slider the change in value is only recognised by unpack once i release the mouse button.

Is there any way to make unpack constantly track each slider value?

Check the "continuous data output when mousing" option in the inspector.

I know you don’t need it, but since I made you an example I’ll post it anyway ;)

Thank you very much. Talk about assistance.

Don’t forget you can preset and pattr the multislider too. Very useful and powerful. You can also chain them thru a zl rot to shift the values left and right.
