Easy Message Question

Hello, I am trying to figure out how to keep a symbol and an integer right
next to each other in a message box while changing the int. The patch below
should explain what I’m trying to explain.

max v2;
#N vpatcher 321 177 745 453;
#P window setfont “Sans Serif” 9.;
#P window linecount 6;
#P comment 231 161 106 196617 How can I keep the CC and the $1 together
while $1 is changing? (a relationship question);
#P number 138 74 35 9 0 0 0 3 0 0 0 221 221 221 222 222 222 0 0 0;
#P window linecount 1;
#P message 138 110 52 196617 $1 CC $1;
#N coll ;
#P newobj 139 140 53 196617 coll;
#P number 230 73 35 9 0 0 0 3 0 0 0 221 221 221 222 222 222 0 0 0;
#P message 230 109 49 196617 $1 CC$1;
#N coll ;
#P newobj 231 139 53 196617 coll;
#P comment 111 164 100 196617 This works…;
#P connect 6 0 5 0;
#P connect 5 0 4 0;
#P connect 3 0 2 0;
#P connect 2 0 1 0;
#P pop;

sprintf seems to do the trick….

max v2;
#N vpatcher 420 213 1133 485;
#P window setfont “Sans Serif” 9.;
#P window linecount 1;
#P newex 501 103 27 196617 t i i;
#N coll ;
#P newobj 499 162 53 196617 coll;
#P newex 499 137 83 196617 sprintf %i CC%i;
#P number 501 67 35 9 0 0 0 3 0 0 0 221 221 221 222 222 222 0 0 0;
#P window linecount 5;
#P comment 500 188 100 196617 Or , if you want to be extra sure that the int is recieved by sprintf in the proper order.;
#P window linecount 1;
#N coll ;
#P newobj 365 139 53 196617 coll;
#P newex 365 114 83 196617 sprintf %i CC%i;
#P number 365 75 35 9 0 0 0 3 0 0 0 221 221 221 222 222 222 0 0 0;
#P window linecount 6;
#P comment 231 161 100 196617 How can I keep the CC and the $1 together while $1 is changing? (a relationship question);
#P number 138 74 35 9 0 0 0 3 0 0 0 221 221 221 222 222 222 0 0 0;
#P window linecount 1;
#P message 138 110 52 196617 $1 CC $1;
#N coll ;
#P newobj 139 140 53 196617 coll;
#P number 230 73 35 9 0 0 0 3 0 0 0 221 221 221 222 222 222 0 0 0;
#P message 230 109 49 196617 $1 CC$1;
#N coll ;
#P newobj 231 139 53 196617 coll;
#P comment 111 164 100 196617 This works…;
#P window linecount 2;
#P comment 366 165 100 196617 This seems to work for me.;
#P connect 7 0 6 0;
#P connect 6 0 5 0;
#P connect 4 0 3 0;
#P connect 3 0 2 0;
#P connect 9 0 10 0;
#P connect 10 0 11 0;
#P connect 9 0 10 1;
#P connect 16 0 14 0;
#P connect 14 0 15 0;
#P connect 13 0 16 0;
#P connect 16 1 14 1;
#P pop;

hello

i’d use sprintf in this way :

#P window setfont “Sans Serif” 9.;
#P window linecount 1;
#N coll ;
#P newobj 401 172 53 196617 coll;
#P number 401 94 35 9 0 0 0 3 0 0 0 221 221 221 222 222 222 0 0 0;
#P newex 401 143 87 196617 sprintf %d CC%d;
#P connect 1 0 0 0;
#P connect 1 0 0 1;
#P connect 0 0 2 0;
#P window clipboard copycount 3;
