This might prove very annoying to some of you as I found a topic very similar to this but my coursework is of a more restricted specification.

I’m using Max to create an AM patch and its great but the simplest thing has failed me, my waveforms.

Im using sub patches (2 of them – carrier and modulator) and contained are cycle objects, buffers, peeks, load bangs and another sub patch. Within these sub patches are uzi’s, counters, packs and an expression box in each. I’m assuming some of you can see how its all connected.

I’ve done the maths in the expression boxes eg. amp/sin*freq for each partial etc and everything looks fine but the only ones that work are my square and obviously my sine. I need to get my sawtooth and triangle working.

Before anyone suggests it, i have used the phasor and triangle objects in my modulator but my carrier HAS to be plain ol’ additive synthesis.

If anyone wants to see it to check it out please let me know.

Sorry for the nature of this question, It’s rather pathetic but I’m a Csound boy and haven’t quite grasped Max yet.

Thanks in advance guys

]]>are some examples of achieving them with cycle object. beyond that

look at delay~ but without an example patch i can’t help you anymore

than that.
