Has anyone noticed the cool stuff on this new Cycling ’74 forum?

Yes, thanks Tim. I downloaded and would have replied but had some forum password issues…

I have to say its great to (finally!) see this addition. After a cursory view and brief play with AudioUnit~ , it seems to be rather well behaved. FWIW I forsee much more intensive use (on my part) in the near future, so we’ll see how it goes then.

Shame it wasn’t about a few months back when It could have *really* saved me a barrel of time, but then we can’t have everything we want now, can we? ; )

Thanks again for this addition and all your work.

S.

I wish there were a way to combine all the forums into one RSS feed (is there?). I’d like to keep up with all of them.

I’m afraid I really dislike the ‘forum/web’ interface, as I find myself re-reading and re-reading ancient posts trying to find what new has been added. I’m old.

Dear Brad

I am as old as you ;-) But I was converted to NetNewsWire which is free, and I put all of the cycing74 stream in one folder which contains on update only the unread messages… if I need the full thread, a right-arrow-key and I am on the website with the full stuff!

It is almost as good as before… except for holidays where I cannot read the missing 3 weeks…

Hi Tim,

What a great feature you’re bringing there! I can even prototype my own graph in Max5 before coding in Xcode.

One missing type of AUs though, the very useful ‘aufc’ converters:

kAudioUnitType_FormatConverter = ‘aufc’,
kAudioUnitSubType_AUConverter = ‘conv’,
kAudioUnitSubType_Varispeed = ‘vari’,
kAudioUnitSubType_DeferredRenderer = ‘defr’,
kAudioUnitSubType_TimePitch = ‘tmpt’,
kAudioUnitSubType_Splitter = ‘splt’,
kAudioUnitSubType_Merger = ‘merg’,

Thanks again,
Philippe
