editing presets

hi,
how can i edit or see the existing presets of a preset object? for
example in tutorial 7 there is a preset object with a bunch of
presets but i can’t see a way to get ‘inside’ the preset to see what
messages etc it sends out. are these stored in a file some where?
thanks again

My standard advice when anyone asks a question about preset, is to use
pattr instead. It’s a little more to wrap your head around at first,
but it is a much more robust and full-featured system.

I have a simple example using it, called PattrKitty, on my examples

Hi Leonard,

I’ll second Chris’ suggestion to look into pattr for a more robust version of preset. But it’s worth knowing that you can always save the preset to an external file, then look at that file. Look in the help file for info on saving the preset settings.

best,
