emailing a patch containing a subpatch

March 30, 2011 | 2:12 am

Hi,

I want to e-mail a patch that contains a subpatch, but when I try to do this, the patcher object comes up in red and the subpatch is not contained within it (clicking on it does not open another patcher).

I know this may be an easy fix, but so far I haven’t found any solutions through reading about encapsulation – what am I missing?

Thanks for any help.

if it’s just an encapsulation, you should be fine. Just send the patch. However, if it is an abstraction you need to send that file along as well. abstractions are separate patches that get loaded in your patch (also bpatchers have to be sent separately) and need to be sent along.

Hope this makes sense…
