hello

it’s late and my brain’s not workingm so here’s a probably-silly question.
i’m new to max…but i’m sure this is possible:

i want to use my midi foot controller (behringer fcb1010) to turn a toggle switch on and off. notein objects forward integer’s no matter what’s received, so that’s easy to turn off. but you need to send ‘bang’ to turn a toggle off…and i can’t work out how to get max to do this.

the foot controller sends noteon messages on the same channel throughout, so it’s not possible to have one footswitch sending noteone into on chan 1 and another footswitch one on chan 2.

so the problems are: how do i get max to recognize a SPECIFIC note and send a bang message when that is received.

Actually, a “0″ will turn the toggle off. Bang will just change it’s state.

But for your exact question here, look at the “select” object.
