embed an abstraction ?

Hello,

is it possible to embed an abstraction’s patcher as bpatcher does ?

If yes, what’s the strategy ?

I think the only way to do this is Open Original from the contextual menu and copy-paste the contents in to a [patcher] object but I imagine you’ve figured this route out already.

Hello Luke Hall,

thanks for reply ; to paste original can be the easy way ; but not very user friendly ;-)

i’ve just finished to code an UI sequencer ; i want to encaspulate it in an abstraction as i like the idea to dblclick on a box to open/close the control window ; this UI stores data in a t_dictionary and append it to patcher’s dictionary with jsave method ; it works fine in a patcher, but not in an abstraction.

Tips and tricks ?

Here is the trick :

- select your abstraction
- press cmd+shift+d (i.e. de-encapsulate)
- press cmd+shift+e (i.e. encapsulate)

enjoy :)

Hello,

good to know ; but this thread concerns “development” so i’m expecting a C code approach ;-)

How and where can i attach my t_dictionary to be save in patcher ?
