endless resampling

September 5, 2008 | 12:53 am

How would one go about modifying the endless resampling patch to fizzle out after a defined time frame? (basically defeating the "endless" part of the sampling…i would like to have the option..i like the patch).

what is the "endless reampling" patch? who made it, and where is it?

i have forgotten who originally did this patch but i believe it was Raja. So, here it is again. i wanted to alter it, adding a way to decay the sample, so it kills the "endless" aspect of it but gives me the control of the timing of which it goes away. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

sorry, wasn’t me who created that patch. (just making sure i don’t steal cred from someone else). it’s a great patch, though!

It was fp.

FWIW, I originally wrote that patch awhile back in response to a question from Leafcutter John. Glad to see it is useful.

Enjoy.

Andrew,
Sorry my the mis-cred. Props to you for a great patch! My question/challenge remains: any idea how to control the decay of a sample…i’m looking to use your patch but looking to expand upon the original; would like to have the oldest sample start decaying as a newer one comes in. Sorry, no patch attempt, cuz i don’t know who to do it in the first place.

Sorry Andrew, so much stuff floats around on here, you never know where half of it came from. :)

In response to Mr. Banshee, did you look at my patch? With very little effort (i.e. add a flonum) you could adapt it to control the decay times.

just [*~ 0.95] it… You can also stop by counting the bangs with a
counter and specify a number to stop it [sel nunmberx].
