Erratic behavior of waveform~

Why doesn’t the waveform~ display never behave? I input some values systematically with a counter, rendering it like slices, but it always jumps randomly to some numbers it’s gotten some time before. It just happens with the number i put into selection end. Sometimes I get the number out that I put in, sometimes I get something else. Lets say the sample is 4000 ms in length. I’ve sliced it into 4 slices. I input 4 times over some time selection start and selection end at the same time. Selection stat always seems to hit the right spot, but selection end can go the right round (1000, 2000, 3000, 4000) but sometimes it does whatever it wants (2000, 3000, 3000, 4000 or whatever) but always a larger number it’s seen before.
I’ve had problems with waveform~ before where it doesn’t want to behave either. Is it just me? If not, is there a fix?

Go against the rules and go from left to right when providing (always) startpunt and endpoint. Keep in mind that startpoint should be below endpoint. There are some issues with this object, however.

that worked like a charm! thanks a lot! now i can finally use waveform~ to it’s full potential, unless there’s more I haven’t discovered about it. :)
