Error: live.object | call start_playing: no valid object set

Error: live.object | call start_playing: no valid object set

I am trying to start/stop playing the Live set via M4L by calling the “start_playing and stop_playing” functions. However I’m unable to do so and gives me the error when I click the message box [live.object | call start_playing: no valid object set]. What am I missing? should be pretty straight forward right? I appreciate any help. Thank you :)

Keep in mind that [loadbang] takes effect only if the patch is *loaded*.
So if you save and reopen the patch it will work as expected.
Or, you can also double-click the loadbang object to send a bang.

Yes, that was it. I’m just very new to M4L. Thank you so much, I’m trying to learn as best as I can and I appreciate all your help. I’m likely to come back and ask many more questions in the future, hope I don’t get too annoying :)
