Everything at 0 when Max opens

How do I make it so that my levels on my gain sliders stay put when I open Max? As it is, all my gain sliders are down when I open Max and it makes me have to remix everything which is kind of a drag.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

for initialisation: [loadbang] – “0.77″ – slider.

for total recall: implement a custom total recall system.

He’s referring to the preset object or delving into the pattr system. Check out the preset object first, it will do what you want more easily. Also check out the loadbang helpfile.

right, [preset] would be the easiest solution. not too flexible of course, but works.

(i was actually thinking of systems using custom preferences files.)

If you don’t want to deal with presets, you can dump the gain~ slider value into a message box’s right inlet, send the message box back to gain~, and loadbang the message box.
