external Build Failed with MaxMSP SDK 6.1.4 – base SDK 10.7 – Xcode 4.6.1

November 5, 2013 | 4:45 am

Hi all,

I’m trying to build dummy project in xcode 4.6.1 and I’m getting some errors/warnings.
My setup is:
- SDK 6.1.4
- Xcode 4.6.1
- OSx 10.9

The error I get is:
/Users/lab/Desktop/MaxSDK-6.1.4/c74support/max-includes/ext_prefix.h:147:10:
‘MacTypes.h’ file not found

I have been modifying my maxmspsdk.xcconfig by:
- removing the "/Developer/Headers/FlatCarbon" path in the HEADER_SEARCH_PATHS config option.
- SDKROOT = macosx10.7
- MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET = 10.7

But I am still not able to compile.
Any suggestion?

Thank you so much in advance.

I’m having similar problems with 10.9.1, Xcode 5.0.2, and sdk 6.1.4. I get a whole bunch of errors related to unknown carbon types. Any thoughts what I can do, anybody?
(As mentioned above, FlatCarbon has been removed from my header search paths.)

Ah, okay.
I updated my Command-line tools then set "Base SDK" to 10.8 and "Deployment Target" to 10.7, and it now compiles. I’ll report back if anything’s broken.
