extracting vertices of blob contour ?

Hi All,

cv.jit is really a great tool but is there any object to extract the
x,y vertices of the contour of a blob?
e.g. something similar to what you find in Processing with the JMyron
or BlobDetection libraries (see

http://www.processing.org/reference/libraries/index.html)

You could try something with cv.jit.binedge (or cv.jit.canny). It depends on what you want to do with the data.

If you don’t mind coding up some C, I have an unreleased and half
finished object that uses OpenCV to get the contours of blobs in
vector graphics form. Let me know and I can post it.

Hi Jean-Marc,

all these produce pixel-images, not x,y vector lists.
it is true that all your shape analysis objects provide a large
toolset to make shape pattern analysis/recoginition; but it is useful
in many cases – analysis and processing – to have a vector based
ouptut of blobs.

Thanks!
this would give me a good reason to start developing externals…
i will need some time to learn to set up the environment and the
max/jitter SDK…

yes, mail it!
