It would be really cool if we could turn on a password attribute for [textedit] which allowed the user to type and enter text into the text field, but all that actually shows on the screen are bullets.

That's pretty sweet. I had come up with a partial solution that involved two textedits on top of each other, but not as elegant as your solution, thanks! I do think it would be nice, still, to be able to designate the textedit as a password field, much like you do in an html form when you designate a text field as a password type.
