[Feature Request] password attribute for textedit

February 5, 2011 | 11:30 pm

It would be really cool if we could turn on a password attribute for [textedit] which allowed the user to type and enter text into the text field, but all that actually shows on the screen are bullets.

It would be great if pwindow and jsui could do transparency and jit.gl.render could do ray tracing.

Taps foot impatiently….

That’s pretty sweet. I had come up with a partial solution that involved two textedits on top of each other, but not as elegant as your solution, thanks! I do think it would be nice, still, to be able to designate the textedit as a password field, much like you do in an html form when you designate a text field as a password type.
