file corruption problem

April 6, 2007 | 12:33 am

Alright, so the Win Max thing totally worked. Which is a huge surprise
to me, and a testament to the great cross platform interoperability that
went into the Win Max release.

Thanks.

Oracle:

I have a file corruption issue that hopefully someone else has run into
and there is a fix.

I installed some software that rendered my Mac OS X unbootable. Short
story is that I had to reinstall everything.

Luckily, I had Vista installed on another partition, with MacDrive to
read my Mac disks, so I could back up my user folder to my external
drive, reformat, and reinstall OS X.

This being done, I moved everything back. However, now none of my Max
patches that I backed up will open in Mac Max. Adding a .pat extension
does not solve the problem.

Has this been encountered by anyone? There is a lot of work here that I
would like to not lose. My current plan is to install Windows again and
then try and open the files in Win Max.

Any suggestions appricated…
