I've noticed that since I created a number of Max standalone applications that these are being referenced as the default application to open patches when double clicking them in finder on Mac.

The only way to open them properly is by opening Max first and then going to file/open.

It's not a major problem but just wondering how to get back to opening them from finder

Tried searching the forums before posting.

Any advice for changing this behavior in Max and setting correct file path when double clicking?

I've had the same issue but have never looked into why. I am curious to know what you find out.

so after a bit of searching I found out the following... (on Mac)

1. Command/I on the max patch to get the file info

2. Under the Open with: section choose Max as the default app.

3. Under "use this application to open all documents like this" there's a "change all" button.
