filtergraph and pattr

March 16, 2007 | 1:39 am

I’m running Max 4.5.7 and Jitter 1.5.2

Does pattr save filtergraph settings? I see posts from users implying not, but I can’t find any official statement from Cycling74 anywhere. (And the user posts are from 2005 and earlier.)

Is there a list somewhere of interface objects that one might expect pattr to work with but doesn’t?

You can easily test it, just connect the middle outlet of a pattr to
filtergraph… (it will tell you its not supported…)

With filtergraph it would be better to connect the three important
parameters to separate pattrs anyway….

yeah, it supports mtr (for one filter only) but not pattr. Use number boxes for the parameters as Stefan suggested, this gives more "knowing" control over your stuff. Working with multiple filters would also be possible, though since you’re changing an index number (dicrete steps) these wouldn’t interpolate like a frequency setting on a single filter would (though I haven’t tried it, I don’t see how it could). Splitting up into different filtergraphs would work better for a multiple-filter case.

Mtr and pattr for filtergraph makes for some pretty powerful stuff!
