I need to find the IP address of a PC using a patch.

Is there an alternative to mxj_net_local? As it requires java; and java reduces the max size a patch can safely save at, causing crashes.

So i have had to uninstall java JRE. And I cant use 64bit max, so I am using max 5.

Well.. if you were on a Mac you could use this object to interpret messages as shell commands: 

and send it this message: /sbin/ifconfig -a
