folder order of operations

I noticed that in Max/MSP 4.6.2 running on OSX Intel, that folder actually sends the folder contents out the left outlet first, then sends out the count through the right inlet. Has this always been the case?

I’m completely fine with it, since the ordering works perfectly for a patch im working on. I just wanted to make sure this will be consistent and isnt a bug or anything.
