i appreciate the new clearer forum site, but i'm quite disappointed about missing attached files in past topics (and also missing pictures in the middle of the posts, even if there are not so many), this makes some topics almost incomprehensible without attached files and pictures that were in the posts. Also, there are lots of shared stuff in the forum, where i love to search, that just disappeared.

-For old topics, when will attached files come back ?

text-compressed patches are fine for "one-file" examples, but when you have java code, presets, or abstractions with your example, the attached zip file possibility was far easier to post and dl...

-I'm also disappointed about the disappearance of the topics older than 4 years ago... before, this forum was like a bible when you looked for something... few days ago, someone was asking about comparing efficiency between c, java, javascript, and couldn't find anything on the forum now, but 5 years ago, there were a detailed discussion about this with jkc... but the topic is gone.

Is this all gone for philosophic/political or technical reasons ?

If this is related with philosophic/political reasons, then, C74 team, please could you instead put a "shared wiki" in place of the share pages, not only to share patches, but also as an augmented documentation, were we, the users, could write usefull remarks about some objects use and share examples and experience ?

Hi Alexandre - thanks for your feedback. I totally appreciate your concerns - there are still a number of things that are worse about the current forums when compared to the previous version. It's on our list to address the issues you bring up.
