GEM library

December 4, 2008 | 11:23 am

Hello list,

It’s not really about Jitter objects I want to talk but about GEM
library, so I hope it’s the right place to do that …

So, I just want to know if someone use the GEM library for Max 4.6.3
on MacOsX and your feeling about?
It seems to be nice objetcs, but I could’nt found a release after
2007. So is the Gem4Max objects is a closed project?

all the best,

reno-

Hi Renaud,

Yes, it seems Shgieyuki Hirai was very busy this year.
the last GEM.framework is May 8 2007.
A new object allows to run in Gem environment, but very limited and a little bugy.
I worked seriously with Gem but would recommend Jitter, from my own experience.

I had many "quit unexpectedly" with these abstractions so, I not not very sure about …
Mathieu’s patch seem good, but pmpd-lib has strange behaviours on 4.6.3
MSD seems more robust. this is my opinion, but I’m just starting with that.

Does anyone have the "10_sable.pd" MSD example transcribed for Max somewhere?

Thank you!
