As jsui still does not allow transparency, I would like to adapt my jsui background color automatically to the patcher background color. Is there a way to get this info within javascript?

as other properties which are documented have the same form, I tried to hack around, and put this line into my bang method:

I don't get an error message, but a kind of strange answer when watching it with a message box:

I have no idea what it means, changing the bgcolor of my patcher does not change the number...

Ok, a bit more searching revealed the solution, I initialize my bgcolor now with:

and it works. Hope this will help to make better integrated JSUI objects...

I would also ask the documentation elves to add this way of getting attributes into js, into the javascript documentation. In case it is there, I could not find it, which is the same as if it is not there...

Yes, I would even vote for a sticky, if you find the solution yourself, please post it anyway. If you needed two hours to find the solution, someone will benefit. Always expect that others come across the same problems you face on your own path...

I'd say send it even if you did not comply to the rules of searching the archives before...
