I need to get the running status data from Adobe Illustrator to manipulate my patch (wich doesn’t exist yet).
For istance i’d like to get the tool i’m currently using, his specific parameters, the fill and stroke colours, stroke thickness, position and number of points and paths selected, effects, and all the rest of the things one can do on that program.
I need those values, and i need to send them into my patch.
The question is: is that even possible?
In my ignorance i think that Illustrator should have some sort of place where this running information are stored (a temporary system file maybe) or a step in his crunching information process where they are available.
Please help me in my madness.
And thank you for the help.
That might be a better question for the adobe forums…
I know there are ways to get data into Illustrator for data-driven graphics. If you can get data out of Illustrator in a standard txt or csv format, you can get it into Max via coll or other object that can read text.
