Hi Folks

I’ve used Max 5 since it came out. I downloaded M4L beta 9 and when I start Max, I get these warnings – many many of them especially when I open the M4L objects extra. Seem to be all .xlm files.

Warning: you have multiple files in your search path with the name uzi.maxref.xml
using this file: Roscoe:/Applications/Max5/Cycling ’74/docs/refpages/max-ref/uzi.maxref.xml

Not sure how to solve this, or will it magically disappear on 11/24??

Thanks for any guidance~

John

(OSX 10.5.8 / MacPro 8 core)

Sounds like your install got duplicated in some weird way.

I’d clean everything out and reinstall. Make sure you hang on to any of your patches, but delete all copies of Max5 from your Applications folder and delete your Max5 prefs. Then try again. If you’re still having problems. get in touch with support@cycling74.com

Cheers
