I research camera like ccd with 100 pictures/s (gigE? or ther protocol) compatible with macbook and macbook pro, must i need special video card?

Does anyone knows if gigE (Gigabit Ethernet) Cameras will ever work in Jitter? It's been a while thoses cam are on the market and nothing seems to have been done (or documented) about how they work on Macs and Jitter.
