i've tested 2 matrox triple head (DP) with the 2 thunderbolt output on only 1 mbp retina.

It works :o), but i've only :
2 projector on the first matrox triple head,
and 1 projector + 1 screen on the scond matrox triple head
2x 2x 1024x768,
cable : display port to vga

tested on mbp retina 10.8, max 6.

could someone test it if have more ?: 6 video-projector for example
cheers !

good news for portable rigs! btw, here's mention of prototype thunderbolt-graphics-card-break-out-boxes. that 'd be totally rad: http://www.tonymacx86.com/214-external-thunderbolt-graphics-cards-next-big-thing-gamers.html

for now i'll stick to my 10 screen desktop setup, GTX 660Ti + 1 x HD flatscreen + 3 x triplehead2go. no i don't use that many projectors but it sure was fun to try it out in a lab that had the stuff lying around :D

does anyone know if it's possible to use the hdmi output too ?
could it be possible to cumulate 3 triplehead on the same mbp with the twice thunderbolt and the hdmi ?

to my knowlegde macOS does not yet allow you to feed the video card back into the computer. this makes it not so useful for macbook pro users...

for a recent project i output to 5 displays from a MBP, 3 from thuderbolt using a triplehead2go, and two from HDMI, first using an HDMI to VGA converter (which required power via USB) and then to a dualhead2go box.
