Good souces of patches with notes on how they function

March 27, 2007 | 9:50 am

Im currently learning max, and am working my way through all the example patches bundles with max/msp. But i was wondering if there are any equally as well documented patches on the internet.

Thanks fellow maxies

– Some patches from a course I teach. They get more and more
documented as time goes on…

Have you looked at the Cycling ’74 website? Between the articles,
tutorials, and share pages, there should be plenty to look at. Also
check http://www.maxobjects.com for abstraction libraries,
http://www.creativesynth.com has some nice synth-building tutorials, and there
are more but I can’t think off the top of my head. Check the Resource
Guide online.

Best,
Andrew B.

Spent a full week on these tutorials to learn the language: http://www.cycling74.com/download/maxmsp46doc.zip

If you’re not a programmer yet, you will have to learn that by making mistakes.

Here’s a patch i made as part of my university course. EVERYTHING in the patch is commented. The idea when i made it was to share so other people could easily learn the things my patch does. I also made it with the intention of sharing it so people could play with it and modify it. Enjoy.
