groove~ and stereo : problem

Does someone have the same problem that me : now when I use this object : “groove~ nameofbuffer 2″
that does not sound in stereo (e.g. in the tutorial “14. Sample playback w loops.pat”)
I have a powerbook with os 10.4.7, max msp 4.6.1
Thanks

Yes the files are stereo
To be more precise about the problem : when I use the stereo function (with a stereo file) of groove or play, only the left track functions

Far from me to sound like a smarty:

Have you tired using headphones?
Sometimes the hardware is the last thing we think about…I speak from
experience ; )

thank you for your answers:
I found the problem, it is necessary to specify the number of channel in the buffer. I have the impression that in the preceding versions (perhaps before the 4.5), it was not obliged
