hi list,

with groove~ when i turn on the interpolation at loop points, i’m not able
anymore to start reading the sound from the beginning.
it automatically starts from the loop start point. even when sending 0. to
groove~ before starting to play it.
is that normal? i thought interpolation was just here to avoid clicks at
loop points.
maybe i’m wrong… let me know please.

cheers

it seems he problem doesn’t come from the interpolation option.
in fact, 0. is not taken into account by groove~ when audio is off, and i’m
working in a poly~ where i set the groove~ parameters before unmuting the
poly~…

hello again ben

well everything needed is in the help patch of groove~, here is the
procedure :

- open the groove~ help patch
- load a sound
- check the loop toggle
- set the loop points
- check the play toggle (play normal speed forward/stop)
- turn audio on (sound is playing directly into the loop section, should it
begin from 0?).
- bang the “start, set sample position” (which is 0.), sound starts from the
beginning (ok, it works here, great but…)
- now turn audio OFF.
- bang the “start, set sample position” again (which is still 0.).
- turn audio ON, the sound doesn’t begin from the beginning, your are
directly into the loop section.

i think that’s strange for a non audio data to be ignored when audio is
off…

what do you think?
