just wondering if anyone could help me, ive built a MIDI tracking program for my roland v drums that helps me route and control live 8. the program works great, however im not sure how to create large scale graphics and values on the screen instead of the small objects.

this makes it difficult to use when drumming, i was hoping to develop the program so i could fix a tft monitor to the kit displaying all the data to the screen.
is there any online help for this, any help would be appreciated!

adam
while i’m sure that greater experts will chime in on this, for me one
easy thing i did was create a picture file in a graphics program and
then use it either underneath or on top of (using cutouts) my max
patch. i found it easy to integrate the max controls with my pct
file, and now with max 5 it is even easier. there are also myriad
ways of doing this natively in max, which solves the occasional
problem of your pict files getting misplaced….
cheers

Already using Live 8? Must be sweet. Did you program within Max/MSP/Jitter?
Which small objects? Some of them you can scale, some you cannot. Be more
precise, please.

If you’re using Max 5, then you’re in luck – Command (Apple) – dragging
around your tiny objects puts them in a re-sizing square; drag a corner and
gasp in wonder as your objects grow!
Took me a while to find this one and it blew me away – my tired old eyes
can now deal with my scruffy little patches without squinting.
If you’re on max 4, you’ll just have to build some custom graphics, perhaps
use LCD to display your digits or use Roby Steinmetzer’s rs.numbox – find it
at maxobjects.com,
