Out of eight piezo elements i have created a physical drum kit. My intention is to bind 9 different drum sounds, so when you hit one of the eight buttons, there will be a sound responding to the hit, and according to how hard you hit it, the sound’s volume will alter, just as a real drum kit, or an electronic drum kit.

for this i use piezo elements, connected to an arduino board, connected to Max msp. and here is where i need your help.

my goal is to create some sort of game out of this, but first i need a patch that makes the hit of the different drum pads correspond to a wav file (8different). I was thinking about using EZ drummer (drumkit from hell) to make it as real as possieble. did anyone do this ?

If anyone have any idea of how to make a game out of this, please give me advice!. I was thinking like Guitar Hero but using my drum ideas. Maybe not exactly like the guitar hero interface but something simplier, without using original songs. like. i also need to know how to connect Max MSP input to EZ Drummer in which i load in ableton live as a vsti-instrument.

Re controlling EZ drummer:

are you on mac or PC?

if PC use midi ox to send midi to ableton. On mac there is a built in
solution, but i am not familiar with it.

or load EZ drummer into the vst~ object.

Regards,
