When jit.qt.record receives a “getcodeclist” message, one of the many codecs it returns is “h264″. But when I try to use the codec (as in “write somemovie 30. h264 max 600″) I get the error “jit.qt.record: bad codec specified”.

I assume that the whole point of “getcodeclist” is to return a list of valid codecs. So what gives? (I haven’t tested all the others)

(macbook pro 2.16 core duo, quicktime 7.1.6, max 4.6.3, jitter 1.6.3)

By the way, “getcodeclist” does not appear in jit.qt.record’s [ctrl-opt-click] list of attributes and messages.
