Is there a way to make the agent shapes in cosm colored but half-transparent also?

Also: is there some fast way to give 64 agents their own name?

All the best

1) yes. @blend_enable 1 and try out a blend mode that works for you, I usually start with @blend_mode 6 7 and go from there.

2) lots of ways to do this but I find poly~ is the easiest. Not in front of my computer right now, so I don’t have a working example, but what I do is query the poly~ and sprintf the name and number, [prepend name] -> cosm.nav

Hope this helps.

Ofcourse – I just use the blend mode in jit.plato

I was assuming I needed to use it in the cosm.nav object

If you have the time It would be of great help to see some examples of how you use poly.

I am copy pasting an agent to make a bunch (hopefully thousand) but I want each one to have their own name so I can queary their position indiviually

Hi, sorry, busy week.

Poly works by opening multiple copies of an abstraction (external patcher) and each of them is given an ID number.

In poly, call the name of the patcher and the number of instances you want. Notice inside the patcher you are calling there are a bunch of sprintf objects running to the various objects requiring a name and drawing context, etc… So you use cosm.query in you main patch an as it to report the names object, for example, if the sprintf running to the cosm object is name obj%d then the name of the first object will be obj1 which you can query using the message “obj1 position”. I’m not mistaken you can also use cosm.query to tell objects where they should be positioned by giving the message coordinates “obj1 position 1.1 -0.02 0.4″

Hope this helps clarify things a bit?
