I'm just getting into working with video and am currently shopping around for a entry level camera and capture card. I saw a previous post about the same topic but the response was for some high end professional equipment. My CPU specs are as follows:

Is this FireWire card sufficient for capture and manilpulation within Jitter? If not, what would be a good card? Also, what's a good choice for an entry level camera to transfer video from VHS via A/D pass through as well as capturing raw footage? If anyone has suggestions or good resources other than google please post.
