Floating Point

I'm in the middle of a project using v 6.1 so don't want to use max 7 for anything right now, but am curious nonetheless. Aside from the c74 propaganda, there isn't much information. (ie google max 7 review and nothing shows up). There isn't even an official feature list that I can find. Just statements about how great it is.

So anyone tried it out? Is it just a public beta that you have to pay for (like the 6.0 release was)? Any benchmarking? Bug fixes from previous version 6? Weird incompatibilities from patches built in previous versions? FIxes re v6 64-bit mode incompatibilities. Changes to the java, javascript C API? Why is there so little information on such a major upgrade?
