Im really new to Max msp and i need some help for a project that i am doing. Im either trying to capture an image as a photo, or reduce the frame rate of a video. Please could someone help me!! :)

you can try with jit.qt movie, there you can export an image and reduce or increase decrease bit rate of a movie. For examples you can go into the help patch of the object.
