HELP-LIGHT CONTROL
Hello!
I am a semi-new student to MAX, not a complete newb.
I have been looking for a clear method to control christmas lights via MAX. I have seen that a lot of people use enntec DMX controllers. There was even a post four years ago, but it was somewhat unclear.
I want to keep the operation as cheap and simple as possible. My ultimate end is to be able to program lighting patterns, turning one strand on and the other off, at designated times using something as simple as a bang. Is there a interface/hardware that I could connect via USB, a basic on/off I/O that would communicate with Max? I have been researching this for days and can never come to a clear solution.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can control it with dmx. I used anyma's udmx USB-to DMX adapter.
Probably the cheapest way is to use an Arduino board to control a few relays:
That would require some soldering, though, and some basic electrical work.
