Help me to make a tapestop effect !

Hi, I am a kind of beginer in audio processing in max. As I switched to mac, I've lost my beloved tapestop effect , and wish to create one in m4l.

I can have decent results with preloaded sounds and using the [line] object to slow down and up the playback speed.

But I have no idea how to make this with an incoming audio signal. Any help ?

[tapin~]+[tapout~] and [line~] going to [tapout~] should do it.
expanding delay time would cause pitch down and vise versa.

Thank you !
I tried to do this kind of thing, but I may have been wrong, I am gonna take a look !

I got results which I don't really understand... I can reverse sound, for instance.
But I don't really get how tapin~ and tapout~ work... The delay line tutorials don't cover this type of behaviour.
