hello

i’m confused by something thats happening when i’m trying to send a message out an outlet from a js object

if i send the message

username myuser

from a message box to a jit.uldl object it works

but if i try the same thing from javascript in a js object

outlet(0, "username myuser");

i get an error

• error: jit.uldl: doesn’t understand "username myuser"

can anyone explain what going on?

cheers

The problem is that you send a symbol to jit.uldl. You need to add a fromsymbol object before jit.uldl or better, modify your js so that it doesn’t send out a symbol.

Right, something like

outlet(0, "username", "myuser");

Although, you may also need to download the latest jit.uldl,
especially if you’re on leopard.
