Help with bang/number count limit?

March 6, 2012 | 9:05 am

What I’m trying to achieve is that the button would bang out when started with a ‘metro 200′, but this continues on indefinitely until I turn off the metro. I want the button to bang out only 4 times and then stop and not bang out anymore. I’ve tried the counter object outputting to a number box but that just resets itself after the specified number and continues counting up to 4. Is there something I could do like if the counter number equals to 4 then it would output a stop-like message to the desired banging button?

I’m not 100% sure I know what you’re asking but:

Hey thanks again Chris! That’s perfect for what I’ve been looking for. Im using this because my patch is meant to generate only a 4 random note melody, you see. The four numbers outputted would go through to a four cycle then packed, set and to match. Hopefully it’d all go to plan and work as a four note melody dictation test.
