Help with playing more the one soundfile? (incl patch pict)

Hi everybody!

Iam working with the arduino wich is conected to light sensors through different analog inputs. SimplemessageSystem sends signals to max wich trigger a sound file. My problem is that i cnat manage the “dac” in max to play more the one sound file. The idea is that each sensor (5) is playing a different sound. This is my file that I am working with.

Greatfull for help

It’s hard to tell from the attached picture exactly what you’re trying to do, but keep in mind that it’s not the DAC that you need to worry about to play more than 1 sound file. DAC will play whatever you hook up to it… including many sound files at the same time if that’s what you’re after.

In your case, you probably want to create another few buffer~ objects and load your other sounds into them. Then, you can trigger each groove object individually when you want. There are other ways, but that should get you started…

Hope that helps…

Poly~ will come in handy for this, as well.

Thanks for the help, Dan and Steven. I really apriciate it. Now i have worked all night with the buffer and tried to make the max file to play more then one sound file, depending on which light sensor is “activated”. I manage to make two different sound works, but one very bad, or both working for a very short while.
I wounder if the problem is the DSP chain – interrupting the signal path.

Thanks again for your time.
